Singles Events are nights of entertainment and connection, as well as opportunities for participants to invite their single friends. Events are fun, social, and typically include an opportunity for service or giving back. They also allow us to bring single adults from all six of our churches together.

Singles Events happen three times a year: spring, fall, and winter.

  • do.justice
do.justice is our annual day of service that takes place each April. Approximately 900 singles from all of our churches come together to donate their time to 30+ service projects benefiting local nonprofits, the City of Atlanta, and Atlanta Public Schools.
  • Movie on the Lawn
Movie on the Lawn brings together approximately 1,300 singles for a fun and free evening in late summer/early fall. The event features food trucks, lawn games, and a popular movie. It’s a great invest-and-invite opportunity, as well as a kick-off for our fall ministry season.
  • Singles Christmas Event
The Christmas Event kicks off the holiday season with approximately 1,600 singles dancing the night away in their holiday best. It is held the first Sunday in December and includes a live band, photo booth, desserts, coffee, and a toy drive for local kids.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you charge as a registration fee?

The registration fee varies per event. Our summer event is typically free; do.justice has a $20 registration fee; and the Christmas Event has a $30 fee. For do.justice, the registration fee provides participants breakfast, snacks, and a T-shirt. It also helps supplement the budget for supplies for various projects. For the Christmas Event, the registration fees are used to provide hors d'oeuvres, dessert, live entertainment, and more. We do waive the registration fee for select participants who are experiencing financial need.

Do you allow alcohol at your events?

No. All Singles Events are alcohol-free for the safety and comfort of our attendees.

How do you encourage “Invest and Invite”?

Singles Events are great invest-and-invite opportunities because they are purely social in nature. It is significantly less intimidating to invite unchurched friends to a movie, a dance party, or a service day than it is to invite them to a church service or Bible study. In addition, we occasionally offer early-bird or discounted tickets to first-time guests. Finally, we strive for a level of excellence in our programming and execution that naturally encourages people to invite their friends.

How do you find volunteers for your events?

Each summer, we launch a group called Singles Volunteer Community. These are approximately 75–100 volunteers that commit to serve regularly throughout the next year. They act as greeters, check-in team, networkers, set-up and teardown team, and more. Volunteers commit to serve a minimum of four times during the year. In exchange, they receive a Singles shirt, swag, and free meals (when applicable) during their volunteer shifts.
