One of the biggest challenges we faced as a church early on was how to best support our attendees who were experiencing financial crises. When people are struggling to keep their homes, pay their bills, or put food on their tables, other areas of their lives begin to unravel. Marriages become strained, health issues start to develop due to stress, and otherwise simple problems seem monumental. Our approach was to create a ministry to help people walk through their financial challenges as well as to help prevent others from reaching the financial crisis level.

MoneyWise was designed to help participants understand God’s principles of money management, transform the way they use money, or help them move past their challenging financial situations.

Leaders

Because the role of the MoneyWise leader carries many opportunities for influence, we are intentional about selecting individuals who are spiritually mature and emotionally and relationally healthy. Volunteers complete a leader application, followed by an interview with a MoneyWise staff member and then receive training prior to leading in any MoneyWise environment.
