I don’t recommend eating stress for lunch, it can you the squirts. I do love the pursuit of a good story though. Too bad I love my job.

  2. Brad Says:

    Dewde,
ummmmm I have secretly seen some of the stuff you have created with your family. Deeeeewde, it’s really good. Seriously. I was really close to asking about some of the content for an idea I had. But it never came about. Keep shooting, you never know where it will end up.

  3. Cameron Smith Says:

This sounds cool and right up my alley… if it only it were graphic driven and not video. I can’t wait for you to post an Art Director position opening. :)

  4. Brad Says:

    Cameron -
Not sure what you mean by graphic driven and not video.
If you mean print driven, key art, look and feel for print material, you are correct, this is not that type of roll. However, being a producer that has a strong art direction background and that can potentially execute some items can only help. This position will have to oversea and speak into Mograph projects as well. I would still recommend applying.

Posting this for my cousin (I apologize, he needs the work)…

“I have been producing video for like, a really long time, ever since them guys at windows listened to me and designed my most favorite piece of intellectual property: Movie Maker.

There cannot be anything more funner than thinking up stuff, taking some piccies with a disposable fun cam, and putting them together in different ways with all kinds of swishy, swoopy transitions that kinda like, make your tummy turn round and round.

Now that I am complete with 7 - the number of perfection - I just know that it is gonna take my creativity to a whole nuver level! I am not sure what coloring in my cardboard camera has to do with getting a position - but if red is what you want then red is what its going to be!

I asked my wife how I fit the requirement of being ‘motivated without a due date’, she did not understand what that could mean ‘cos with each one of our 9 kids she always had a due date… maybe it has something to do with surprises…

Anyhows, my hard drive has just finished defragging so I’d better get back to it….

Oh… and I do LOVE Macs… the Fillet’O'Fish is pretty good too.

    My name’s Eric, and I’m a PC…”

    (Yes, he is.)

  6. Phillip Gibb Says:

whooh, if I could simply get on a plane and move to the US I would apply in a heartbeat.
Sounds like a Dream job - to me :)

  7. Mike Says:

Does this role actually do the editing/execution of a project?

  8. Brad Bretz Says:

    Mike -
This role is not required to do the editing of a project unless the producer has that skill set and CHOOSES to take it on for a particular project. Some producers can write, some can direct, some can do amazing motion graphics. Ultimately, we are looking for someone that can see the project through from beginning to end. If the producer wants to own a piece of the execution, then it’s up to the producer.

  9. Dave © Says:

    Hey Brad,

Just out of curiosity, is this position still open? How soon are you looking to fill it (assuming it hasn’t already been filled)?

    Thanks!

  10. Anonymous Says:

Since I have already applied I don’t want to drop my name, as well as I am sure my coworkers frequent this site. (smile)

Just wanted to ask, how the hunt is going, anyone peaked your interest yet.

  11. Marie Says:

Anyone who takes this job has to be talented. I’ve been to services at North Point and they seem to have an incredible church multimedia set-up. I hope you were able to fill the position because some of the best parts about the services at North Point are due to the behind the scenes production that goes on there.
