“Adagio for Strings” communion video download

Last Thursday night during our Night of Worship we played a video during communion. It is a VERY simple video that paraphrased scripture while the underscore of “Adagio for Strings” rolled underneath. The video is around 7:38 so we did edit the song a bit. The long version for “Adagio for Strings” song can be found here. This is also the same video we used at Drive this past spring. Here is the link - DOWNLOAD

Did you mean for there not to be sound on the video? I wasn’t sure.

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Brad Says:

No Chris there is no sound.
I put a link to the itunes track on the blog.
This is a really basic video that was synced to music that we can’t distribute. We edited the song down to 7:30.
    Hope this helps.

    hey Brad
I remember after Drive we chatted about the Communion video you did. I have all the videos and downloaded this one but I remember you had a whole lot of stock images off Flickr displayed in quick succession during the video somewhere. Can you tell me where in the video it was or where the multiple shots came in (if that makes sense).
thanks for sharing what you guys do.. really keeps us all growing!

    Hey Morgan -
After the Adagio song at Drive the story continued and we went into Charlie Hall’s song “Mystery”. Due to copyrights of both the song and the pictures, we can’t post the video.. Essentially, the momentum of the song lent itself to a lot of different images. During the bridge, we started with different images (paintings of Jesus created throughout the centuries). Then as the bridge continued to build, we put in picture after picture of humanity while including the lyrics of the song at different times. It ended up being a very powerful piece. We opened with it on Easter Sunday this past year but in my opinion combined with adagio and used during communion was more effective. Thanks for coming to Drive and thanks for the post.

    WOW Brad!
Thank you so much for sharing this video on here. The church that I work for attended Drive 09 and all of us were in tears by the end of this video. I have tried and tried to remember what you guys had said in this video but couldn’t remember.
One question. At what point in the video do you stop the “Adagio for Stringsā€ song and start the Charlie Hall song?
Thanks again for this! Simple video….but huge impact in my life!

    BE BLESSED!!!
    Ryan

This video played in it’s entirety. Then we started “Mystery”. We showed similar text (story progressed to finding the empty tomb . . . He is Risen!) but then added some color in the graphics at the bridge to help the progression.
Super stoked you liked it Ryan! Thanks for the comment.
