I just finished this project today:

It is a worship service opener for a youth group in Calgary. I had fun making it using C4D, AE, lots of plug-ins and other special goodies. I learned a lot of new tricks and I am pleased with the final result.

If you have any questions about the project feel free to get in contact with me.

  3. JMDesign Says:

    Hey man,

just uploaded a video that I did for a Promo of our next Series:
    http://vimeo.com/6330378 “This is Southpoint”
Using Apple Motion can be quite and issue on my MBP - just demands too much so this was quiet a difficult task inspite of the simplicity.
    Something I learnt:
To play a Group/Layer in reverse I need to clone it and apply the reverse filter on the clone
    The thing I enjoyed most:
bouncing dots in motion’s replicator tool

I try to post all my stuff to:

We just launched a series entitled 5 Lies of the devil and tried our hand at some Spy-v-spy animation pitching the devil against the truth.

This was a very different piece for us stylistically and was a lot of fun to work on. It especially translated well to the promo that ran the week prior.

very cool Ken! Love the shadows on rock. My favorite part BY FAR was the airplane dropping bombs while Silhouetted. That was an awesome scene when you pulled back to the wide shot. nice story & animations. thanks for sharing.

  7. Matt Says:

Phillip, always love seeing what you guys are up to in South Africa. Cool to see the North Point model working half way around the world. Plus you guys have cool “accents” when you speak. Love how you pulled off “Letters to the Next South African President” promo. You hit it spot on, well done.

Here is a video our Arts team produced for a small High School Retreat called ESCAPE - http://www.vimeo.com/5900476

We actually used a template to help with some of the effects from this website - http://www.motionvfx.com/

Love the work you guys are posting here! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Brad Says:

Frank - Seriously, what a great way to open a video!! Great idea. Start a promo video up with a quick camp story.
I smiled the whole way through. Nice stuff. What an incredible looking place to have a camp! Thanks for sharing!

  10. Matt Says:

Frank, I agree that was a funny intro with the “Skunk” story.
What camera did you shoot footage with, quality looks great.

  11. Ryan Says:

So much stuff I could share but here’s a message illustration on marriage that I wrote, shot and edited. Lots of other stuff of our YouTube channel.

This video shows that sometimes a creative concept with simple execution can lead to an effective finished product. Some simple garbage mattes and panning and scanning through an HD image in Premiere Pro was all it took to make this sermon title package… but it introduced the topic effectively and was memorable. You can’t ask for more than that!

We do weekly video announcements at The Pursuit (http://thepursuit.org). They are a lot of fun to put together, and are a great way for us to communicate to our people what is going on and coming up at The Pursuit.

This last week was a blast for me personally. I usually share time in front of and behind the camera, often shooting- then editing myself for the VA’s. I had the opportunity to get others in front of the camera, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Check em out here:

Thank You all for sharing, please keep sharing your videos with us. We’ll definitely do this again, great seeing what other churches are doing. We can all learn from each other.

  15. Bill Whitt Says:

NickShoe — the Japanese overdub is genius. Love it! The music really works too!

    Hello,

Name is Matt and I am a missionary in South Africa. I have always enjoyed Andy Stanley, North Point and all of the creative video that comes from your church.

I am the Video Editor/Animator for the organization Thrive Africa. http://www.thriveafrica.org.

Here is a quick promo that I did for a church while I was back home in the States.

    hey guys,

just catching up on your posts. i’ll add my latest into the fray. tho i always see things i want to change…even only a few months after i’ve created it. this is a testimonial/story piece. i really wanted to incorporate b-roll of this guy just driving around, walking, living his life. but my camera bites. :)

am working on my own simpler version of the drive-by this week. will share when i’m done.

  18. Matt Rittgers Says:

Here’s a few projects that I’ve dug into:

A video about Race, differences, and similarities between a couple of our pastors.
Pretty basic, but I felt really good about it.

An interview-piece I did 2 days before leaving the country on a mission trip

    http://www.vimeo.com/5222343

And finally, my creative stab at telling the church of God’s work in the Czech Republic. (Which, was in fact, where I went on my mission trip to)

  19. Matt Says:

    Matt R.,
Love the Black & White piece, simple yet powerful. Like how you locked off the shot and just changed the subjects.
Really like the treatment on My Story:Steve. Great story he had. Love the broll shots, my favorite was the viewfinder shot. Like how he explained the tattoos and you were able to follow the story on his arm.

    good stuff, thanks for sharing.

  20. Matt Says:

    Matt M.
Cool promo. Sets up alot of excitement around it and anticipation. What camera did you shoot with, quality looks really great!

  21. Matt Says:

    Jeff K.
Love the broll and your color treatment, kind of a bleach bypass look. Like the greenish tint. Nice.

  22. Greg Jackson Says:

Hello! This is my first time to post anything anywhere since I became a media director. I got hired about three months ago with ZERO video editing experience. They handed me a mac pro and final cut studio and said “Here, learn how to do this.” I am also in charge of live production, facilities, and, being a semi-mobile church, setup and teardown, so I don’t have as much time as I would like to work on it.

Long story short, I am coming into this position relatively unequipped. To make things even freakier, we just got named #8 on Outreach magazine’s 100 fastest growing churches list, and #1 based on percentage growth. I find myself praying a lot more than I used to…

All that said, here are my two latest:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odOuQLv30IQ
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qA_CStaqT3w

The others on that channel were put together by one of our worship guys. He started learning at the same time I did.

Not much to look at compared to what everyone else has posted, but it’s miles from where it started :)

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

    -Greg

  23. Jesse Lavender Says:

I’m way behind on this post, but I’d figure I’d chip in anyway.
First off, Greg, I think what you’re doing is awesome! The cardboard testimonials is such a great idea, and a powerful statement to true faith and commitment.

This is a trailer that I cut from a documentary that my two roommates and I made. It focused on homelessness in Atlanta, and showed people that stereotypes can be proven wrong in many cases. We made the movie to show that there are people out there who need love and care, even when we don’t think they deserve it.
