North Point Online - LIVE @ Buckhead Church (Promo 1)

Just in case you haven’t seen it. Here it is. http://www.vimeo.com/5375168
Produced by Heather Breslin and Brad Bretz
Motion Graphics by Brad and Wiggy.
Logo Design by Nick Hollomon
Music by First Com Music.
Our angle was to make this first promo a bit exciting and a bit epic (hopefully without going over the top). Promo has been played at all our campuses and now, online. We wanted to make a big splash and create some buzz about North Point jumping into online church world. We are so excited about this opportunity. More to come in August. The live service is just half of the cool.
Hardest part of video was doing the earth pull-out. 4 hours for about 4 seconds. Did most of it on my laptop at my kitchen table. Got some help from our boy Andrew Kramer with earth pull-out. Difference was he used the city of San Francisco from image that was 2500 pixel x 2500 pixels. I was dealing with city shots of Buckhead at about 700 x 700 pixels.
Another goal was to try to keep all intro text in the same space as the original logo. Especially at the end revealing what is underneath the logo. That would have to be my favorite part from a design point of view.

  2. Sarah Says:

Awesome video! I was wondering…what effect is on the text at 36 seconds? love that!

  3. Brad Says:

    Hey Sarah,
Thanks for the comment. At 36 seconds I am using a particle effect combined with masks to take away the top logo and to also reveal what is underneath the logo. The particles are from Trapcode. All of this done in After Effects.
    Have a great day!

I loved this - it is not too epic - but I come from the cloth where you can never really have too much “epic”

  5. Bryan Clark Says:

Wow. Nice job guys! This is really solid.
