http://www.npccmedia.com/MediaDept/video/blog/10B4_032909_Northpoint.flvIf you don’t know, the TenBefore is a segment that our team creates on a weekly basis to engage our first-time attenders in a unique way that helps them take the next step and prepares them for what is to come in the service. If you’ve never heard of the TenBefore and want to learn more about it, we’ll be putting together some FAQ’s in the next couple of months to address some of the basic questions and explain what the TenBefore is all about. The process behind it is massive, from Brad & Matt’s original designs, to Heather’s scripting, to Kelly’s hosting, to Dave’s shooting/editing, to my (Wiggy’s) keying/compositing/exporting. Above is our most recent TenBefore from 3/29/09 (North Point campus).
If you’ve been following the TenBefore for any length of time, you may know that we rebranded our graphics this past Fall and have been running with a punchy, typography-inspired look this season. The red text over the white background gave way to a bluer look during the wintertime, but now that spring is back in full swing, we’re returning to this warmer feel–redder outfits, red text, etc.
Kelly Lintz, our host, continues to hit it out of the park with her engaging demeanor and uber-consistent delivery. Week in and week out, she has been the face of the TenBefore since the very beginning. We couldn’t be more thankful for all that she brings to the TenBefore every week (and now, NPTV as well…she will be the onscreen host when we launch on April 5th!!)
DoJustice Promo. This inspiring ad was edited by Matt Gibson and shot with the help of Dave Blakeslee and Adam Dukes. Most of the onscreen talent were singles who attend one of our three campuses. The basic color scheme and logos were designed by Brian Manley, who was contracted separately by the singles department. Matt paired those elements with a powerful script and hip locations to set the scene for both a big problem and a big solution.
CHAOS - “Together” Promo. Dave Blakeslee came up with this hilarious idea, with a little inspiration from the classic ESPN commercial where chaos breaks out in the ESPN offices over Y2K. Adam Dukes (seen running for his life in this picture) headed up the direction and production of this promo with a little help from our staff who eagerly volunteered their time to act as extras for this crazy idea that had the attenders rolling. This promo is an example of how a little bit of risk and a whole lot of randomness can turn into a massive success if done well. Paul Ryden, ever the professional, nailed the intro and outro of this video in a few short minutes to tie this mass chaos together into a neat little bow. It might be my favorite promo that we’ve done so far–OVER THE TOP!!!!!

Phillip!! Thanks for commenting! I met some people from your church around the offices and I mentioned that I followed you on Twitter. I think the guy’s name was Colin and he said he knew you. Small world. Thanks for the link on your blog; please continue to spread the word!!

I absolutely love your guys’ TenBefore! I’m curious, what is the name of the music during the DoJustice promo?
You guys do such a great job!

Thanks, Tyler! We get a lot of music for our videos, including this one, from FirstCom Music (www.firstcom.com). For do justice we used a track called “Watch It Grow” by Alexander Baker.
