Great Date Experiment

Most married couples want to spend time with their spouse, but most of them don’t spend enough time with their spouse. When they do get time together, a lot of them experience the classic, and “What do you want to do? I don’t know, what do you want to do?”

MarriedLife presents the Great Date Experiment. MarriedLife is creating 6 different great dates. Each great date revolves around one of the Big 6 essentials for a great marriage. Each date is complete, yet couples get to choose the options.

We have made the resource free and easy for other churches.

Here are a couple of different options on how you can use the Great Date Experiment in your church:

  1. You can simply point married couples to this link. Marriedlifeonline/Big6GreatDate This specific page was created with you in mind.  It speaks nothing specific about any North Point ministries campuses, yet it does drive them to the MarriedLife site where they can experience other resources focusing on our Big 6 essentials of a healthy marriage.
  2. You can print out the Great Date Documents, tie a ribbon around them or put them in a envelope- package them your way- and tell your people to come and pick up their Great Date Packets.  For example we gave away packets on March 6, 7 or 8 from 6-8pm.  This set time and place seemed to create a lot of momentum and accountably. It was also an added bonus to have people from our church, all over the community at the same time. They saw other great daters out and about. It also worked as a stimulus package for our community.  It stimulated not only the economy, but also people’s interest in our church.
  3. One strategic thought is to encourage your small group leaders or leaders of other ministries to encourage their “people” to take part in the Great Date Experiment.   It is a great way for your leaders to take and show interest in the lives of the people they lead. (Plus it’s free. And free is good)
