MarriedLife Live

The seasonal environment of MarriedLife is MarriedLife Live, an event created for couples to encourage and empower their marriages. The two-hour program includes incredible music, creative programming, and a relevant message.  Each event is centered on one of our Big 6 MarriedLife Essentials:
 

MarriedLife Live has two goals:

  1. To create a “foyer” environment designed for couples to invest and invite into their non-believing or non-churched family friends.
  2. To create a place for any couple to be encouraged and empowered in their marriage.

What happens at MarriedLife Live?

  • Pre Event: Attendees arrive up to thirty minutes before the event begins and are welcomed by our host team into the auditorium.  The host team collects tickets.  We do not sell tickets at the door.  When attendees enter the auditorium the lights are up and the music is upbeat. Attendees can choose to sit at tables for up to ten people or in rows in the front of the room.  Tables with self-serve desserts and coffee line the perimeter of the room.  The atmosphere is casual and designed for both women and men.
  • Event: The event is hosted by a couple or an individual, who begins the evening with a welcome and overview of our purpose of the night. The programming elements change from event to event, but they all contain great music (mostly a mix of current and past secular music), crowd interaction activities, video elements, a speaking portion, lots of laughter and one tool that reinforces our nights theme that we call our “go and do”.
  • Post Event: Once the event is over, many couples stay and talk, while others choose to leave, taking advantage of having the time in the car together to have more discussion from the event’s topic.

What is the cost of attending MarriedLife Live?

We charge $24 per couple. This money pays for desserts and coffee, our technical team, musicians, and vocalists.  Attendees order tickets online and bring their printed receipt with them to the event. 

How do we promote MarriedLife Live?

MarriedLife Live is promoted with

  • pre-service promotional time including video
  • Sunday bulletin
  • Website
  • HTML emails sent to our past attendees.

(We do not market outside of our local church.)

How do volunteers help at MarriedLife Live?

Our volunteers are an important part of this event.  We ask them to serve at each of the four events during the year.

  • Pre Event: Volunteers help set up the room the day before the event. 
  • Event: On the evening of the event, volunteers arrive 2 hours prior to the event and are served dinner with the MarriedLife team.  These 10 couples greet attendees at the entrances and monitor the dessert and coffee stations throughout the night.
  • Post Event: Volunteers help tear down at the end of the evening.

Do you provide childcare at MarriedLife Live?

We want to make the event as easy as possible for couples to attend.  We do not provide on-site childcare, but we do provide childcare reimbursement.  Attendees pay their babysitters and then submit reimbursement requests to North Point Ministries.  Reimbursement in the form of a check is mail directly to their homes.
