Great marriages don’t just happen … couples have to work at them! A crucial part of having a great marriage is preparation. That’s why we encourage couples to participate in our premarital mentoring program.
The decision to marry is one of the most important choices people will ever make. Preparation for marriage involves much more than detailing a beautiful wedding. Our desire is to help engaged couples to establish a marriage that will endure and that they will enjoy for a lifetime. The Premarital Mentoring Ministry trains mentors to walk beside couples and offers resources designed for what lies ahead.
Who?
Our mentoring is available to members and regular attendees who are already engaged. If they desire to be married by one of our pastors, then they are required to receive marriage preparation through the 2 to 1 Premarital Mentoring.
What?

Step 1: For registration - they click here!
Step 2: once we have a mentor couple available, the Premarital Staff will contact them.
Step 3: Take the PREPARE INVENTORY and fill out the PREMARITAL QUESTIONNAIRE.
For some people, doing the inventory and questionnaire can be intimidating. We assure them there is no need to scared. They don’t have to study for it, and it’s relatively painless. The only “pain” is that it takes about an hour. The inventory is one that has been around for many years and is very helpful in evaluating potential problem areas and strength areas in couple’s relationships. Step 4: Meet with a MENTORING COUPLE
After the inventory results are received, they will be assigned a “mentoring couple.” This trained, caring couple will meet with them approximately six to eight sessions. The mentor couple follows a structured program that covers what we believe to be the most relevant areas for having a successful marriage. We have found these couples to be an invaluable asset, as they prepare for marriage and deal with inevitable “issues.”
What will this require of the mentees?
Time: They will be asked to invest the time necessary to complete the process.
Fee: The cost for the inventory and the process is $170 per couple.
Preparation: It is imperative couples begin the process 6 months prior to the “big event.”
Wedding Preparation?
2 to 1 Premarital Mentoring is also the contact for wedding preparation. Couples are provided with a list of North Point Ministries pastors that officiate weddings.
