Easter on UpStreet!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!

As we have been busily adding a fourth and fifth campus to our teams we figured out that we would be producing 22 large group presentations of the Easter story for our UpStreet kids on Easter weekend.

We wanted it to be GREAT! We wanted to use our best storytellers and we knew that we might have a few people out of town. So we decided to tell the heart of the message on video.

A storyteller lead into the video and wrapped up at the end of the video with personal application. Then our kids traveled to small group to unpack the message more personally.

Happy Easter!

Pray TOGETHER

Last month our multi-campus children’s ministry staff got away together for a few days. We had fun! We worked hard. We got quiet. We were together at SharpTop Cove. It was a beautiful mountain retreat. It was so easy to see God’s handiwork all around us. TOGETHER, we carved out some quiet time with our Heavenly Father. We [...] Continue reading...

Backstage

Last month I told the Bible story at our Buckhead Church campus. It was fun to teach our UpStreet kids the story of the Lost Sheep. While I was hanging out backstage with the volunteer team, I noticed how they had personalized their space. I loved it! There was an orange Christmas tree! There were verses [...] Continue reading...

My Favorite Interview Questions

A good interview is like an exploration for the next great teammate. You’re not just looking at character, attitude, and skill…you’re looking for the perfect “fit”. You’re thinking about the strengths and weaknesses of the existing team. You’re looking for chemistry. Who you hire is one of the most important decisions you will ever make! With [...] Continue reading...

Frustrated!

I am frustrated by lost opportunity. Our team is reading the book The EMyth Revisited. As we were discussing the book, we got into a discussion about what frustrates us the most. For me, it’s lost opportunity. You know that storyteller who shows up not quite prepared? You watch as an opportunity that you’ve prepared for all week [...] Continue reading...
