Recruiting Preschool Volunteers

Very few people will show up every Sunday to take care of crying babies and change diapers. When we are recruiting volunteers to serve in Waumba Land, we are calling volunteers to be a part of something much more important than that.

The chair and the stage set that you see in this video are the same chair and stage set that our attendees see every Sunday when they watch adults share their salvation story before they are baptized. For our congregation, this is a very clear visual.

Our hope and prayer is that one day our kids will sit in that very same chair and share their own personal story of faith.

Invite volunteers to be a part of the story….

That is awesome and so true… we all have story and we are all part of God’s story. Even the little ones. Very inspirational, who wouldn’t want to sign up!

What a powerful video! I love the heart and significance behind this. What a way to bring others in on developing the stories of the youngest leaders in the church!

One of the best sites I’ve viewed to date, I hope you’ll be posting more like this. I’ll stop by again every day to see any additional updates. Thank you.

  2. [...] I got the video from Northpoint’s blog, Inside Northpoint. Not only are the words and people compelling, but the chair used in the video is the chair that is used by people giving their salvation stories as part of their baptisms. What a powerful way to link the idea of story and stories of salvation with what is happening in the lives of children in those preschool years. [...]
