Are you coming to Drive Conference 2010?
We go through a pretty rigorous process as we develop content and prepare breakouts for the Drive Conference. This week we had to turn in the first draft of our outlines.
Next, the outlines go through a review process with Andy and then an editing process. THEN, we practice our talk in front of our entire staff. Talk about an intimidating audience! Our staff gives feedback and we make tweaks and finalize everything for the conference.
Why do we do all of this? Because we want to put the time, energy, and effort into creating the best possible experience for you!
Will it be perfect? Nope! Does it have the potential to impact the way that you reach the people in your community for Christ? We hope so. That’s why we’re doing it.
Not because we know everything there is to know. But because we are learning, just like you, and we want to take advantage of this opportunity to share what we’ve tried, what we’re thinking about trying, and what we’ve learned from our mistakes.
Want a sneak peak?
One of our Preschool Labs will talk about:
· Creating a WOW factor with your preschool environment.
· Developing a team to greet, welcome, and check-in kids.
· What we’re looking for in a small group leader.
· Empowering your volunteers to solve problems.
· Why we place preschoolers in small groups.
· The key components of the large group environment.
If you are a preschool leader attending the conference, here are the breakouts we recommend:
Waumba Land Lab– Logistics
Waumba Land Lab– The Environments
Attracting Great Volunteers
Developing Teams that Work
Preschool Q & A with Staff
Partnering With Parents (Pre-Con)
Bonus! We will also showcase our preschool large group environment one night during the conference so that you can see first hand what we do on Sunday morning.
