Welcome to Inside North Point IT! We will be using this space to share information about how our Technology Solutions department serves the needs and solves the problems of our ministry partners here at North Point. We hope you will join with us on this journey as we share the things we’ve learned and hopefully engage in some discussions on how we can all use technology to equip our teams to meet their ministry goals.

Thanks for the Wordpress MU post - very informative, but I thought my question fit better here. Any chance you could do a post on your WI-FI setup at Buckhead? Open to the congregation? During service? How are the office computers secured from guests?
Another post that may or may not be relevant to IT would be the church and social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc). How it is used, results, etc.
Thanks for these resources!

I plan to do a comprehensive post on our wireless network at some point but to answer some of your questions…
We use Cisco AP’s for our wireless network. They have 2 SSID’s on them, one for Guest which has its bandwidth limited and no authentication required. The other SSID is for staff to use that uses 802.1x auth to a centralized RADIUS server and Active Directory. We use ACL’s to make sure the networks cannot see each other.

Thanks for creating this site. It’s great to see so many large ministries opening up their knowledge and resources for the benefit of others and the kingdom.
I look forward to connecting with you through this blog.
